Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple techniques to master and reduces anxiety about restaurant food in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked in some of the top restaurants in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy and competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for cooking and food early on. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English degree and a Communications certificate from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most fun time of my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. While in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy of Italian food and culture that has had a profound impact on her culinary perspective. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. Burrell speaks on her culinary love and imparts her experiences in the food world, as she regularly goes on trips across the USA in the roles of speakers and mentors. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has always said I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion for life with people.
