Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her appearances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. In the years since her debut, she's shown her range of talents by appearing on series such as Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. Anna's performance on Assault on Precinct 13 was her first big breakthrough. It was however her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer, in the biography film All the Way, which brought her the recognition she was due as an actor. Hind's performance as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was also highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television have renewed the third season of 9-1-1. Hind completed filming recently for the Hollywood flick Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled to be released in mid-2019.
